GFS History

Genesis Financial Solutions was founded in 2001 by CEO Irving Levin and a group of seasoned consumer financial services managers. The team has extensive experience in non-prime consumer lending. Many GFS managers were leaders at Renaissance Holdings, Inc., a non-prime credit card issuer well respected for its service quality. Renaissance was sold to Household International (now an HSBC company) in 2000 for $300 million.

Genesis’ initial business focused on acquiring and servicing non-performing consumer loans. In 2004, GFS diversified into non-prime consumer lending. Today, Genesis is a leader in originating and managing non-prime credit cards and student loans.
