Genesis originates traditional unsecured credit cards through partner-based and direct-to-consumer programs.

Partnerships

We work with partners whose marketing efforts can be leveraged:

  • Joint Mail programs allow marketing material, such as an application, to accompany partners’ direct mail packages to potential or existing customers.
  • Tier II (downsell) programs provide credit to consumers who do not meet a prime creditor’s underwriting criteria.
  • Affinity programs target groups not serviced by large prime issuers due to the credit profile or size of its membership base.

Direct-to-Consumer

Genesis targets niche consumer and credit segments whose underlying characteristics lead to low acquisition costs or low credit risk. Direct mail to consumers (pre-screened or marketing lists) is the primary distribution channel. However, we recently launched our internet originations website, www.myindigocard.com, relying on search engine marketing, affiliate programs and e-mail campaigns to drive applications.
