Bruce has over 25 years of experience providing strategic leadership in the financial services industry, including developing go-to-market strategies, capital formation, and operational execution. Bruce joined Genesis as CFO in 2005, became President in 2008, and assumed CEO responsibilities in 2011. Prior to joining Genesis, Bruce led business operations and financial management as CFO at Credigy Solutions and Wilshire Financial Services Group, where he also served as a Director of the Company and its Thrift subsidiary. Additionally, Bruce served on the board of Mirador Financial, a provider of small business lending technology to financial institutions. He currently serves on the board of LeanPath, the leader in food-waste prevention. Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and earned his BA from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
Gregg brings more than 25 years of experience to his role as Genesis CFO, including financial analysis, banking, and risk management for organizations like Wilshire Financial Services Group and Wells Fargo Bank. A Genesis executive since 2009, Gregg holds a BS in Finance from the University of Oregon.
One of our original founders in 2001, Vernon leads analytics and data science company-wide at Genesis. He has more than 23 years of executive leadership experience in consumer credit, including serving as Director of Business Innovation and Director of Risk at Renaissance Holdings in Portland, Oregon. Vernon has a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
Joining the Genesis team as COO in 2020, Ed brings more than 30 years of combined professional and military leadership experience to the company’s Operations and IT teams. He began his career and spent nearly two decades as a Long Range Reconnaissance (Airborne) Team Leader in the U.S. Army. In his most recent role, Ed was Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Mortgage at USAA. Previous roles include Senior Vice President and President of Mortgage at Fifth Third Bank and Senior Vice President, Servicing Operations at PHH Corp. Ed has a BA in Finance & Economics from Temple University and holds an MBA in Global Management from the University of North Carolina.
As the Chief Human Resources Officer, Wayne is responsible for the strategy and execution of Human Resources practices across the Genesis organization. Wayne has more than 20 years of leadership in the Human Resources field including both domestic and international leadership positions along with 15 years in the financial industry. He earned his BS in Sociology from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
As President of GPCC, Evan leads the consumer credit card line of business that is continually expanding the solutions provided to consumers with less than perfect credit through the Indigo Platinum Mastercard, Milestone Gold Mastercard, and Destiny Mastercard programs. Having served Genesis since 2009, most recently as COO, Evan has been involved in the company’s significant growth in technology and operations capabilities. He has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer credit industry, including as a Credit Officer at Capital One. Evan earned a BS in Physics from McGill University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Mark has been the President of Genesis Credit since 2018 and is responsible for the private-label credit card business at GFS. Genesis Credit is the nation’s largest near-prime financial provider, partnering with industry leading retailers in their respective verticals to provide accounts to consumers when primary lenders cannot. Mark brings over 25 years of experience to Genesis Credit in the consumer lending industry, including positions as Divisional and Executive Vice President at AcceptanceNow, a brand of lease-to-own leader Rent-A-Center. Mark earned his BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
